    Newbie here w/ a few questions .
Let me start by saying that I like speed and pleasure boating . I own 4 boats now and am just getting into the Jet Boat stages .
    I am restoring a 76 , 24' Sleekcraft and a 82 Baja 190 w/460 Berk .
I finaly have the correct rear entry starter that runs reverse for the Baja`s 460 that cranks the engine the direction of the arrow on the Jet .
I bought the boat w/the engine and jet rebuilt , but not ran yet w/the previouse owner loosing the starter.
I`m down to the water hoses and want to get it right the first time .
It has water logs and the system is called the Berkley Jet pack . Does anyone have the correct diagram for the routing of the water hoses ?
Any precausions to watch for ?
One of the hoses has a adapter to hook a garden hose to and a valve below it coming through the transom . Is this the inlet hose ? What does the valve do and should it be open or closed durring tuning ???
I`m a fast learner and mechanicly inclined , but these jet boats are new to me .
I`m assuming that it is ok to run the engine w/the hose hooked up and the Berkley will be ok so long I don`t put it in gear . Or will I have to tune the boat on the water ?
