Help Identifying this Shakespeare(??) Fishing Boat

Hello everyone I am new to this site but was wondering if anyone could help me identify this boat.

I was told from the seller it is a 12.5' Tri-hull, double foam filled hull. The boat is actually 14' (not sure how he got that wrong). He also told me it was a Shakespeare fishing boat and is the same as this one on utube

Does anyone know any details about it ? Is it a Shakespeare and what year it was built or any specifications on it? It does not have a HIN at all

My recollection is Sears sold outdoor sporting goods including boats with the Shakespeare brand in the 1960's and 1970's. At that time Sears generally only sold "house" brands.

 

Looks like a neat little boat - it's definitely in nice shape for its age.

Hull Identification Numbers were not required or standardized before 1972.

I believe I was able to find the boat it is a WonderCraft built by Seacrest Marine for Shakespeare. Here is an article from a 1973 popular Mechanics

It seems the 12' were built in 1973 and the 14' were built in 1978.

It should do good enough for me and my friends fishing/hunting on small inland lakes and the boat, trailer and 1979 6Hp Johnson cost $800.

Since it was after the 1972 that Russ mentioned that would mean the HIN was removed at sometime, but in checking with Canadian boating laws I am good as any boat built or imported into Canada after August 1, 1981 requires a HIN
