It's a copy of a 21 foot Skater. They go so well because they are basically planning from a standstill and the tunnel creates lift plus low wetted surface. A friend built a 20' cuddy cabin powercat with a single 70hp. They are great in the chop, fuel efficient, fast, his drew like 8". and there is no hump to get over so pick your cruise speed.
Other then turning flat it was a great boat.

It is a racing boat for a flat water, not a hull for going into an open ocean.

He designed his own based on a livingston style hull, not really the best choice IMHO. It was a crazy amount of work to design and build from scratch and when the day comes to part with it you may not get that much from a home built so keep this in mind.

You would save a ton of time by going this way. How many 23' V-hulls have a queen birth?

Having a kit with pre cut panels is the only way I'd go.

I hate working with glass so I'd look for an aluminum kit and have a local guy weld it up for me.

Also I would look for a displacement hull style over a planning because they ride better while still being efficient.

I see your from Fiji, New Zealand and Australia are big on cats and boat kits so look there.

Not a kit but it shows what can be done with a cat. Notice the hull shape.
