    Hi Jeff,

    I have no one on my ignore list. but I am getting the "on your ignore list" message. It has happened 3 times since the upgrade.

    I concur. Although all my "ignores" refer to posts by "Guest".

    Last night the upgrade included Apache, PHP, and MySQL...

    I'm looking into it right now. Sorry about this.

    Paul and Will have also informed me this is happening to them as well.

    I believe I have solved the 'unregistered users on everyone's ignore list' problem now.

    Thanks very much to Gary, Laz, Paul, and Will for pointing this out to me, and sorry that I didn't foresee or catch this bug sooner.

    If anyone finds any other strange anomalies today, please let me know or post them here.

    Thanks again!

    all of the above and a question;
    maybe its true but i allways see many more users than members actif. fine with me but iff "users" are guest's how come that counter -to keep you bissy- isnt much higher?

    You're right - I should change the wording on that.

    Guests who aren't logged in aren't counted in that number at all.

    "Most users ever online was 41 on 01-05-2003 at 08:03 PM" is counted during a 15 minute period whereas "most registered members online in a day was 57 on 02-26-2003" is the maximum total during a 24 hour period - both counting registered logged-in users only.

    I'll move the word 'registered' to make that read better.

    Something else for you to ponder Jeff......
    Today I received 3 email notifications that a thread I've contributed to has had a response - but they were all for the same response.
    Doesn't bother me - but I know how you like to run an imaculate ship....;)

    I believe it may have been a temporary glitch in the queueing because of upgrading sendmail yesterday to fix a serious security exploit in all previous versions (whereby a specially crafted email could allow a cracker to gain root access to unpatched servers within a matter of seconds - hopefully everyone else is patched by now as well - otherwise this could be the next big exploit after the Microsoft Slapper / Microsoft SQL worm this winter). I'm not getting multiple notifications today, so hopefully it ironed itself out after the upgrade. But if you're still getting multiples, let me know and I'll look into it.
