In Southport, where the tide goes in and out perhaps miles over the warm sand, they used to use horses and carts for shrimping, but now they use these wonderful Mad Max rigs. When I first saw them, there were perhaps a dozen shrimper rigs, with booms for the nets and boilers on board; Now I think there is just one operating, plus some more conventional tractors and trailers.

 

I notice you checked to see if it was a CPP.

 

Found some old pics of geese attempting to heard me out of the local pond and a Great Blue Heron trying to hide under a tree. Not very good, first generation digital camera with telephoto lens -

Sorry for the delay, been working on Malta. Bad quality on the pics but she is a great looking little boat..

 

Lovely stem profile, reminds me of a Hereshoff 12-1/2, just a bit shallower . . . that stern suggests some interesting following seas have to handled on the way back to harbor. Obviously a developed design as well as a traditional one.
