I'm looking for a 14 ft. (max) micro skiffto use as a tender/fisher. Want to rig a 35 hp Tohatsu jet outboard. Anybody have any ideas or recommendations. All I can find are jon boat hulls below 15 ft.

... too much for what? What weight are you aiming for?

Personally if you want stability and safety in most reasonable conditions the Dell Quay Dory or Boston Whaler type is pretty difficult to beat and it will at 13' handle 35Hp OK. Damn tough things if half looked after, so some good second hand ones out there. Now when RIB's get to be 40 + years old what will they look like?...;)

A heavy boat like a Whaler would be hard to push w a jet OB.
    I'd be thinking aluminum.
