On Vimeo there isn't much from the EC, but this very entertaining film noir was posted there last year by 'Heathen', who then sailed with 'Crazy Lugan'.

The Watertribe video pages should be updated, and this video given some award or other?

How about a gilded statue of 'Chief', looking like an Oscar?

With an uncommonly large shark's tooth covering his privates perhaps.

    ...

On Catsailor.com, SOS's crew Poptarp has a thread he's been posting in before, during and after the EC2014.

He also says he's taken lots of video, that he'll post sometime.

I can't avoid remarking, that it looked somewhat better, from SPACE.

The google earth screen captures shown above caused a lot of excitement in the tribe. Most of the boats that were captured were able to identify themselves based on where they were that day. Actually teak's boat looked much better in person than in that photo above. There are several watertribe videos on youtube. Try searching for Water Tribe, Everglades Challenge, EC. The Franken Scot has a 2 part video out, I have watched that one. The Hobie 16 also has a current video out. Sadly we were so busy we didn't shoot much. Also we covered so much ground at night

Thanks for the feedback Zero! I was beginning to wonder if the Watertribers had shown no interest yet because they had caught on to this long ago, while all minutely studying their routes.

Has anybody found themself, apart from what I posted?

... Because it isn't so easy to find this on the satellite photos, I've found a couple of tricks which make it easier - and I intentionally cropped away obvious landmarks in the screenshots, in hopes of luring one or two people to post here in the thread and ask where the hell the screenshots were from.

    lol

Anyone who hadn't come to the finish by 11am on the 7th March 2013 may have been captured by the satellite photos. I've found a bunch of them.

But there is an area just west of Largo (looks paler on Google earth) where the satellite imagery is from another, earlier date. I fear that perhaps Chief was in that area (on account of his finishing time) which unfortunately may explain why I haven't found him yet.

    ...

Maybe sometime in the future it will be commonplace and cheap to acquire satellite photos from any date you might wish. But until then, this serendipity of the Google Earth & maps imagery dating from the same day that so many Watertribers were out there, is very exceptional.

    ...

But Zero, I have in fact seen (most of?) the Youtube EC videos, and that's why I nominated Heathen's for an award!

Yes people have found themselves. I found my boat sitting at the dock at the finish. Jarhead's Sea Pearl is also there. The two kayaks in you post #184 are Macatawa and his dad. They were just exiting Twisty Mile and if you look a few miles ahead of them you will see three more kayaks. They are just west of Jimmy Channel. At Cp3 there are several boats, one is Cleanslate I think, a yellow Triak, and there is a red Hobie AI. If you look closely at the parking area of CP3 you can make out 2 people carrying what I think looks like a Kruger Canoe. There is also a green kayak on the launch ramp. Looking north up the canal there are several kayaks headed into the CP. Supposedly there are more boats up in Whitewater Bay but I have yet to find them. I started a thread on this on the WaterTribe form a while ago and most of the people who found themselves commented there

    chortle..

    ...

But even so I see no-one in that thread looks like having found my first screenshot (post 116), and in a way I think it is the coolest of them all.

'Leeward Lauren' and 'Windward Mark', in a Kruger kayak with sail, have posted a bunch of photos and videos from their crossing of Florida Bay - gives a good depiction of the shallowness of the route they sailed.
