    JLIMA crazed throttleman

Buzzards Bay tosses it up pretty good too which is why i'm worried about pounding. I know angle of attack can reduce eliminate pounding but I have no desire to "tack" on a power boat. The only time I was on long island sound was about 8-9 years ago when I brought my last boat back from Groton Connecticut but the weather for that was about perfect if I remember correctly.

All powerboats similar to those in discussion pound. Some pound more than others but at high enough speed, they all bang and toss their occupants around. Bearing off is a poor solution to a problem best avoided in the first place. In a choice between the Jiffy22 and the V22, I don't think there is a good enough reason for choosing the J22.
