We have a Volvo MD7 that was fixed to a std gear box.

It has 3 lumps on the engine , three lumps on the tranny and a rubber drive/damper that moves the power.

We want to mate it to a sail drive which was bolted to a later MD 7B.

These use a hard coupling between the engine and sail drive.

Does anyone know if we remove everything from the dead MD 7B if it will simply bolt on to the older MD 7 ?

Is it reasonable to create a part to allow the match, if required?
