    Corley epoxy coated

Thanks Blackburn, the righting looks quite controlled and gentle all things considered.

Looks as easy to right as my Hobie ;)

Amazing how much buoyancy there is in the beams, she floats very high

    .

The video I embedded above does not have the automatic captions feature, but if you watch the video on PdB's website or on YouTube, then you can turn this feature on/off by clicking on the 'captions' box at the bottom of the screen.

The captions (in French) are very accurate all the time the narrator is speaking slowly and distinctly, but become nonsense as soon as Fred le Peutrec starts talking fast.

Does anyone here understand what le Peutrec was saying? Was he complimenting the captain of the tug, among other things?

Here's a photo Gilles Martin Raget took of Lemonchois (in Guadeloupe after the 2006 Route du Rhum), apropos drifting for 10 days after a capsize.

I've always really admired the way in which Lionel won the 06' RDR. A perfect race. For his sake, I hope the first 24 hours of the approaching RDR is in the 8-12 knot range. i think his boat will be fast in that stuff. I'd love to see him make this a third win.

    Are any MOD 70's going?

I looked for some info on that, and posted it over in the thread 'Route du Rhum 2014'.

While we wait to see his new rig, here's something I found which amused me:
