The tooling for the former Black Horse 33 is for sale. This boat is one of my designs and is traditional above the waterline and state-of-the-art below. A lot of effort was invested in refining the bottom to reduce the drag inherent in a full keeled hull and still carry the engine low. The result is class leading speed and efficiency from a hull that also delivers an exceptional ride, tracks true and offers real running gear protection. You can expect 30 knots from 440 hp at 16,000 pounds. A Yanmar 480 can be accommodated entirely below the main deck allowing for both a low profile and 6-4 headroom without an engine box. Headroom down and forward is 6-1.

Inventory includes the hull, side decks & trunk cabin, deck house and top molds. The set will produce soft and hard topped express models as well as long and short house sedans. The sedans will accommodate a flying bridge. Hull & deck molds have had three pulls, house has had one and the top has had two. This is very high quality tooling, built by one of the old Maine masters and is stunningly fair (see photos). All the molds have been meticulously cared for and were originally intended to produce a minimum of 50 pulls. A replacement cost of over $250,000 has been quoted.

    Principal Dimensions:

    LOA (molded) . . . . . . . . . . . . 33-0
    LWL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 30-5
    Beam (molded) . . . . . . . . . . . 11-2
    Draft . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3-8
    Design displacement (lbs) . . .13,700

    Asking $75,000
