Its interesting that i found this thread. My dad actually lived in thailand for a year when i was about 3 building these boats. He actually built the first longtail that was fiberglass called USLT1 and planned to put them into production but the idea never really took off. I remember when i was around 5going for a ride in one of these things and doing over 100mph. he brought back a bunch of these props and maybe he would consider selling them. he has all different sizes. Ill try to find a picture of the USLT1 it was quite a boat.

Thai props are 2 blade alluminium made by AAA they are various size and pitch but hubs are already cut to size. The smallest is 4inch dia.

The Prop Shop in England has a huge selection of model props. Model 26 cc gasoline engine hydros typically run 65 to 70 mm diameter clever & hydro props with between 110 to 170 mm pitch. These engines develop around 6 hp at 16,000 rpm and drive the boats in the mid 60 mph area. If you know the power and rpm of your engine, you can scale the required diameter from this data. The power absorbed is proportional to the rpm cubed and diameter to the fifth power. You could also try the spreadsheet program below for an estimate of diameter and pitch, but it's not for surface piercing propellers. There are a lot of online pitch calculators that will give you a speed estimate.
