    Hi all,
I have a manual fuel pump and fuel regulator with brass screw in fittings.
My question is can I use Teflon tape on the thread to stop fuel leakage or will this not work with petrol ?
    Cheers,
    Mike.

Most manufactures don't want you to use Teflon tape (even the yellow stuff) on their fuel fittings. This said, if you use the yellow tape and keep the tape back at least two threads on the male fitting, you'll be okay, assuming you'll completely remove it, if the fitting is disassembled again. Loctite PST Pipe Sealant (567) is the usual recommendation for a thread sealant. Also Permatex High Performance Thread Sealant (56521) is recommended.
