I wondered all my life, which paint for which wood.
Over the years I've had too many problems with Ply Wood. From way back, I started using planks.
Let it leak a little, just keep it aired out, air flowing everywhere, no place for mold to start.
A lot of times I've used Porch n' Deck.
But one time I covered a deck with CPES and then Gel Coat. That worked good. But that's a lot of Money to prevent another coat of paint occasionally.
