I took a look but I'm afraid it isn't what I'm looking for.
I'm searching for plans and patterns only.

Thanks for your reply and thanks for warning me.
Btw, do you know any lobster boat forums I can visit ?

First, lobster boats have a lot of different hull shapes, depending on the intended use. There isn't a generic shape.
If you're just looking to go fast, a lot of lobster boat hull shapes are a lousy fit. They take a ton of HP to go fast and are squirrely at speed.
If your only concern is speed but you like the lobster boat look, just put the right hull under the lobster boat look.

That sounds like a good thing to do but where can I find one to build ?

Sam Devlin designing boat builder on the net. He has plans for a 34ft stich and glue lobster boat (storm petrel)that will do what you want with about 400 hp. .

With the bottom flatter and the chines/bilges less rounded, this would be faster...

Here's another lobster race boat, flat bottom, rounded chines probably minimized as far as possible while still adhering to possible design rules. ?

Why do you need a "lobster boat" to go trolling for game fish ? It seems sensible to me to just start with the requirements you want satisfied, and select the most suitable design, not try and adapt something that evolved with a very different raison d'etre.

I like the style because of all the space.
Not every game fisherman like a narrow boat with 3 to 4 outboards on it.
Not every fisherman wants a big flybridge convertible with a way to big salon and with stuff and electronics that you don't even need.

Btw, can anyone teach me a bit about stitch and glue ?

Nothings beats a centre console walk-around boat when playing game-fish, assuming you are not one of those strapped-into-a game chair types with the skipper backing down on the fish for you ! Obviously if the size of the fishing party is large, the need for a bigger boat arises.

I would still prefer the lobster because I won't have to worry about line getting tangled that fast.

I prefer to have no underwater obstructions to foul the line if a big fish takes a run under the boat when being brought to gaff, you only have that with drive legs that can be raised clear of the water.

Have a look at the west coasters here in Australia, Randell is one design you might like.

The workboats of the Chesapeake Bay are long, narrow and easily driven.

These hard chine designs are suitable for ply, glass construction.

A plywood Lobsterboat doesn't sound attractive
