    i am interested in performance
    absolutely not in speed
    i do not race
and i dont care that people say
    wow that was fast
im more interested in a boat that i can put
4-6 people on and go some place nicely
    and get back
    my personal family is 9
    and my family including children
and grand children is about 20
really what i want is a nice sailing house boat
    that is not tubby
    and needs a motor
and that i can build and sail b4 i die
    shalom
looking to hear from you soon

dear oh dear. A sailing house boat by definition will be tubby. Ask Archimedes.

Oh, and what exactly is your financial situation ? You spent a lot of time describing your poverty, the difficulty of boat registration etc. then dismissed that with mention of other financial help, and t here has been no mention of 'car toppable' again. have you changed that parameter too ?.

You have several useful designs at hand already. There will be no magical method to achieve anything better.

i have not changed at all
at first i said 18 ft
    full deck
    lots of flotation
break down to 8 foot trailer
    torsion boxes
and a cage covered with building wrap
    i stick to that
but speaking to you guys things get turned around
i got offered boats that are tris
    that obviously cannot be dismantled
    shown slider
whos floats i think i can use
but i will have to build with bulkhead and cut into pieces
    then bolt together to sail
i said i wanted it high off the water to be dry
and right now i dont know about the power source
    i liked the junk sails
    i like the crab claw
now i am very interested in wave power
im going to put a wave power machine on my
12 foot row boat and see how it works
it is true that my son is paying for most of the boat building
and he does not make a lot of money

    i hear things like performance
    speed
    disappointed

    these words mean little
    if i heard 5 knots
    turning distances
    rocking angles
    etc
    i would be more impressed

    but as it is
i will first build a small model of my ideas
with some modification as indicated by you
the i will build a 6 x 12 small boat and she how she runs
    then i will make modifications
and then i will build the full size 8 x 18

    as for slider
    i like her hells
and she is the answer to my ?
    as to hull design
do you thinks that woods hull with cabin in any way
answers the questions that i asked
most of the people who gave me suggestion
    never read my specs
if they did they would not have said what they did

i have not seen any real clever solution
    or creative thinking

just take a look at this boat that in no way solves my problem
i mentioned different kind of sails
and no one ever discussed them

    i have not changed
but when i try to answer your questions that are
not relevant to what i need
i get told t hat i keep changing

you were the one who told others to look at my original letter
from what i wrote it should have been obvious that
i wanted a family boat that would take a lot of people and
    cruise
what happened to all of you guys
    i have not changed
    you didnt pay attention
    but
    i appreciate the effort
and am waiting to see some creative thinking
    and unique solutions

This is not our job, we are not here to do your design for you, we have given you some ideas and opinion, the rest is up to you.

No one here sets out to be mean, its just that Slider is suited to about 200kg payload. Too much more and she won't sail as well. You want ten times this payload on the same waterline. The consistent message here is that it can't be done properly. We could make two hulls tied together that can support 2000kg without sinking but they wouldn't sail at all and the stability would be very low as the heavy people are up high on the structure. It would be dangerous.

Why not try a small secondhand mono? A nice Contessa 26 or something could be gotten cheap and you can pack a few people on it.

    cheers

    Thats a change.

Thats a change - but you still dont state how much you can afford.

Then we start with the vague objectives

"4-6 people on and go some place nicely and get back"

what is "some place" ? Open water, sheltered water, how far ?

"really what i want is a nice sailing house boat that is not tubby"

How is a sailing house not going to be tubby ?

But not to worry, you seem to have it all under control, and we wouldnt want to misunderstand you so badly.

Post a picture of your creation when its done.

Here is something to think about. The weight you want to float - 2000kg - will need 10 fully submerged 44 gallon drums to float it (and that is not including the drums) Can you fit 5 drums in an 18ft length easily (for each hull)? That's why it is a hard ask.

    cheers
