I was toying with the idea of the pipes -- maybe make them from FRP with a flange/ scoop set up and fastened on the exterior with epoxy. Then fill the void say to 1/2 in. below the tube where they intersect with the sea cast foam. Next flood the area to a level about 1/2 in above the tube at the intersect point with resin. That should effectively prevent any leaks. I could then top it all off with sea cast foam . The more we bounce this back and forth the more I think it has a good chance, Tnx. Geo.

In the last of my sailboats that I retrofitted an inboard, I used an old SSB antenna for the fiberglass pipe.

That gives me an idea, an old glass fishing rod should do just fine for the supply pipes. Must jot that down in my idea book for when the time comes. Old guys have to do that :)

Yes, each manufacturer will also have their own data or should.
Maritex bearings recommend 2ltr/min for a 1.5" water lubricated shaft bearing.
    0.0063" new running clearance.
