    Be careful about generalizing a certain sail planform for all boats as being the fastest. Lots of factors come to play, including rule restrictions and loopholes.
    Stability, rudder drag, location of CE are all players, and the "Squaretop is better" mantra just likely does not work under all circumstances and conditions.
