    Anyone recognize this

Thanks Randy for the ad, I had not seen that one. Here's one that I have, someday hope to find more. It does have a spade rudder, although not the original. Very large fin keel.

    Holiday 30

This is the best I can come up with. The slightly smaller Holiday Victor. Designed the same year. vds #40. The Holiday 30 is #42.
No idea how many of these they made.
Too bad there is so little on the 30. I've never seen a sailplan even in an ad.
Not quite the iconic design like the Black Soo. Maybe intended for a more conservative American taste.
I think there is van de Stadt archive somewhere. (besides the original firm which is still in business, as far as I know.) I heard that his son in law, J. de Ridder, was in charge (of the archive).

    Hi Randy,

I was told once by a guy just south of Boston that about 130 of the Holiday 30 were made. Mine is hull # 35 built in 1956. Not sure what the 435 refers to. He had a Holiday 30 that we ran into around Cape Cod about 30 years ago. Then I saw another one in Portland harbor at a mooring.

    Thanks for your help, Dave
