Black tea is said to be an excellent aluminium cleaner, comes up like new apparently, presumably the tannic acid removes the oxidation. Try a damp, used tea-bag on an inconspicuous part and see what it does. Very cheap too !

New products around. Nano polish. Do some googling " aircraft polishing "

Or contact the companies selling the products directly for advice.

    http://www.permanonusa.com/Literature/Metal Finishing August 2011.pdf

The " Nano " ingredient is Silicium (Si14).

The steps are polish with various grades of abrasive compounds then seal the surface with magic Nano polish. Ive only used the product on painted..awlgrip ..surfaces and it works. Lasts twice as long as normal polish.

Ive used Permanon, but there are also many vendors around. Im sure they are in The Netherlands. Have a chat with them

Oke thanks, but i really mean how to polish it from normal sheet aluminium (kinda greyish) to polish it up mirrorlike. I will be busy for some time if i have to save teabags for a complete 6 meter boat. ;-)

i mean wich kind off polishing wax is there around with wich people have good experience?, polish it wet or dry?

Doesnt the buffer get very quickly very dirty from the aluminium?

I Guess its the old way sanding down smaller and smaller and then buff it up, i will try to get aluminium polish from gords

Again you probably need technical advise. Perhaps first you use an acid wash on the corroded aluminum surface, then buff.

    I have no experience.

Also ask the Airstream Camper guys. They polish their rigs. Must be some tricks to the trade

The highly polished look of the plane and the camper may be due to clear anodising, not something I know much about though.

No, it is elbow grease and patience. Google "polishing aluminum aircraft", all the info you need is available. Best method is acid wash (alumiprep) then polish. The acid removes all the contamination saving hours of polishing and you end up with a better final polish. Good luck, you have my sympathy.
