    Manual scanning curvature

Very clever, and I think - more than enough precise method. But the intention to produce bulkheads with a CNC machine, must pull a few numbers from the hull of the vessel wall in current section.
Can't told too much. Everithing can see in att. If measured will with accuracy, AutoCad will understand the writed numbers and with yours little help, give right splines for CNC machining.
    Almost the scanner of space:)

I made beautiful joggle sticks. Then we hung them up and admired them and went back to doorskins, hotmelt glue, and staples. The staples keep the angles til the glue cools. The more curve or detail, the shorter your sticks. Occasionally a long one to stiffen. We did 8' wide cat frames in 10-15 minutes.

Another advantage with doorskins and staples is that if youre crafty you can take off a template for a component that has a rolling bevel.

The joogle stick is a usefull tool because it is always ready for duty. Make up a few and keep then in the shop. Doorskin stock runs low when you most need them and new strips have to be cut.

I find joggle stick most handy in the field, when I don't have a full set of tools and materials to work with and in confined places, where a full size template just doesn't work.
