Cheap paint for meranti plywood

    "how long can i expect it to not be rotten"......very little in fact, depends on water temperature largely, but it is a downhill run starting from the minute the boat hits the water.

    Big box store plywood is literally crap. No one that I know can honestly recommend APA grades any more. If you insist on using the cheapest, poorest quality material for the planking, you'll get what you pay for. Typically, the planking is some of the best wood on the boat, because it keeps your socks dry. It's your call, but epoxy, though a wonderful product, can only do so much.
