Weed eater engine conversion

    yeah they have chainsaw blade attachments that can fit on brushcutters called polesaws but i'm talking about a 10in. round saw blade on a brushcutter cutting down christmas trees. i'm not sure if a 50cc brushcutter engine is lighter than a 50cc chainsaw engine, but the whole brushcutter weighs about 20lbs

    The article says the motor should have a clutch? How can one know if this motor does indeed have one?

    That is a good point, I know not all weed eaters have a clutch.

    iv read every last post and taken lots of nots , i was planning on buying the honda gx35 , but was wondering about the honda gx50cc or the titan xc50s suppose to be 3hp . but since ther 4 stroke without the oiling system of the gx35 would there be problems ?

    more cc is good ..makes the selection of a prop less critical..Ithink you will find you can tilt these to sufficient angle for your long tail...say 15 deg

    I just finished another one made with a 52cc brush cutter two stroke engine. Has lots of pqwer .

    String Trimmer curved shaft

    To reverse the curve direction I cut a mirrored notch at 180 degrees from the factory notch which places the cutting head where you need it to be. Most shafts turn CCW so the prop must be a "pusher" rather than a "tractor"

    Now that we're above freezing again I couldn't wait to take my boat out for a ride this weekend. It was windy, rainy and cold, but I'd been waiting for an extra-high tide for more than a month!
