You cant have all that junk opened when stern too the dock.

Modern sterns are highly detailed because yachts spend 90 percent of their life at the dock

A huge stern platform could be opened.

Good for a ro-ro ferry, but imo not a preferable and elegant way to access a luxury yacht from the dock. Besides the fact that a small contact with the concrete dock can cause a huge damage to the platform, given the mass of the yacht.

True, a ferry has a purpose built dock, whereas a superyacht will use many. Within this budget, I am not convinced a strong moving platform could not be engineered. I do see the difficulty.

Presenting a tennis court size transom to the following sea can have interresting result.
I wish Mr. Stark will try, perhaps he will change his view and concentrate designing forks and knives up in the mountains.

You cant use the transom door at the dock. The height is always wrong , most boats use the stern lazarette as a garage and when stern too you cant cross your stern lines.

Azteca looks reasonably elegant with her stairways and stern detailing.
