    The design is intersesting. The USNavy had a similar vessel built (E-Craft, MV Susitna) several years ago. I believe that it is difficult to get the propulsion to work effectively in both modes. There may also be an issue with limited reversing capability of waterjets to get back off the beach.
    I have not heard if they have followed up with any others.
