    Hi Manie,
That is Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast, N of Brisbane... Quite spectacular - the best I have seen, and possibly, the foaming up due to wave/wind action with the added fresh water and silt...

I do not know what is going on in the rest of the world but the 2 posts I made this morning have attracted some 400 hits - - - 3 links to Gerald Celente (Trends Research in NY area), and one youtube from a local site at Kuranda, - - activists in stopping fluoridation of the water supply as a preventative to harden tooth enamel against decay... (Yet many of the activists still smoke both tobacco & grass)... Because, they argue, that forced medication is just "Not on"... 200442-20028=414 visitors... Thanks all for your interest?

I always wondered about that too- I don't care if they smoke pot-it seems many of these ilk tryng to keep poisons out (by eating organics, going vegetarian, special shampoos etc) yet go back home and fire up the bong every day.

Oh well smoke your pot and appreciate the pure water? - - I suppose the kids will have to be taught that they should brush their teeth after eating every meal with "fluoride enhanced" toothpaste... Remember - - Educating your children is your, (the parent), responsibility, not the government, - or the teachers, who are there to provide instruction from standardised resources and contextual consistency...

I was reading somewhere of minimalist rules for social behaviour in an effectively functioning community, and cannot remember where? fearing I may have missed or changed some points? - any links?

    Here are some of the points - - as I hope are correct. . . . .
    - - 1 - - Do or say as you like, so long as you do not restrict the freedom of, or hurt others.
    - - 2 - - Respect property (communal and private) (do not steal, destroy or damage).
    - - 3 - - Be honest, truthful, fair, polite, faithful and respectful in all your interactions.
    - - 4 - - Honour your commitments.

Trust, Respect, & Love are earned qualities, found and expressed by the faithful, - of friends and associates, - where a culture of sharing and helping others exists.

The community will be able to ask for an explanation of your 'adverse' actions, and if you are considered to be in breach you may be socially outcast subject to appropriate remorse, commitments of restoration of loss, and an apology - - seems to work?

To know what one knows, and to know that there are unknowns, help to ensure that one is firmly rooted in reality. - - Otherwise it is speculation, and I know not of the "Truth" so inferred. - - Be open to expanding ones knowledge and diligent in verifying the validity of what is presented for your consideration.

    Hi All,
My Toshiba Satellite Pro C850, Only 6 months yound has DIED IN THE ***, - - Charge lights work and turn it on and the other two lights activate but nothing happens except from screen recognising something is attempting to happen by partial illumination and the <NUM LOCK>key shows the number keypad is lit to register numbers only when a number key is hit and the HDD and DVD drives both make a little noise and that is all - recycles through that process ad infinitum - well until I press the on/off button above the <DEL> & <HOME> keys above the main keyboard... I'll be fkued :!: :?: it seems to have corrected itself ?????????? CYA.....

Sorry to disagree (I feel I have to correct this statement as it is a bit misleading) Vesconite does swell in water and it also has fairly high thermal expansion when compared to some of the better new materials for rudders shafts and the like. Yes the moisture swell is low but run the boat in warm waters and its the thermal expansion you should be looking at as the chance of bore closure will be greater.

    From Vesconite data:
Maximum moisture absorption in water at 20°C / 68°F 0.5%
Coefficient of linear thermal expansion 6x10-5mm.mm-1.oC-1

Yes it is less than nylon but it is similar to materials such as Maritex which has far better properties as a bearing material and much lower thermal expansion. It's OK but not that special.

Also you guys should support an Oz product!! Maritex produces a truly world leading bearing material from a small factory in Perth. They have a range of materials that are on everything from Submarines to race boats, cranes to pumps.

    Hi Tigawave,
I found the original source, no perceivable expansion in water, got 6 so I have a couple of spares., rudders are in place and next task is to align them. Pity no 'Ackerman' this time around... I was reviewing performance data (not available) on my 'original' model in my gallery (click on my name) and it indicated better than 15knots on 50hp x 2 with tweaking and refinement (750mm depth and hull-beam was the intention with about 7000kg load...

Maritex is hard to get. I tried to secure some for a pair of rudder bearing but the leed time for delivery was to long. This was a couple years ago, things might have changed.

    Hi Michael,
I am not sure what the name of the stuff used in my case is, but I call it "green-washer" as it performs the function of a washer - between rudder top and hole through the hull...

Here in paradise the sun is shining through thin clouds (the UV levels are high), and the temperature is moderate, so from this desk, all things look nice. There is no news of note worthy importance / impotence or revelation / relevation worthy of posting so all are spared - - - and things are mumbling / bumbling on and "the can of worms" must have been kicked further down the road and out of sight using the political excuse never try to fix the unfixable - leave it for the next elected politicians to consider, and the coming descendants of the grandchildren to pay the bills...

How does this crowd financing thing work? - - From what I have heard it seems interesting and innovative...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZD6hrVhZGc - is VERY INTERESTING but I would like to see the replacing of the container once the biochar process has finished and the fitting of the next drum for processing - must they wait for the thing to cool off first? - This simple system would work for me - I can see a battery of 10 or more set up in a circle to run one after the other in almost continuous production?
