It's not perception when no one knows what it is. Classical music has a very small fraction of the music industry's attention and sales. Of those sales and attention, 90% wouldn't know the difference between a reasonable collage level piano player's abilities and a well trained, concert pianist. This leaves you with a miniscule number of those, that would even know the differences, in the Bach pieces played, let alone how well they were preformed. Simply put, ignorance is bliss, not a lack of perception. Personally, I wish I was bliss about hair pattern baldness.

This was a setup for the result they got. They put a young, unremarkable looking man, wearing a tee shirt and jeans, in a subway with a violin. Surprise, no one really paid attention.

You could put Stephen Hawkings on his wheelchair in the subway, and no-one would probably stop to listen to him talk about the mysteries of the Universe. Maybe there would be some that would toss some coins at him. If things are completely out of context, and people passing by are busy with their lives, they are not likely to pay attention. In the same way, a detail of construction in a boat that goes unnoticed but raised the selling cost, will not be a good marketing tool.

Its the things that go unnoticed that really are the important things with construction on most boats . i just been in the last couple of day been taking particular notice of the shapes of panels on cars . The one i walked past just 10 minutes ago has quite differant shapped panels to most so will be looking on all new cars to see if its a trend . I have a theory as to why its changed to the shape it is just hve to take a little more notice on some more !!
Shape is what attracts attention and makes peoples heads turn . colour catchs the eye ,sexy and you smile ! gee i'd like one of those !! wow thats nice Dress two women up in exactly the same cloths one with a beautiful body shape and the other over weight and rolls on rolls . which one gets the most attention ??
Same with boats if it looks nice and has appeal is well presented and pleasing to the eye and sexy you have a winner.:p

    Myarc,

    "no one noticed"

How do you know no one noticed?

You have described a social setting, a dynamic, nothing more in my opinion.

"Here's to the crazy ones; the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes, the ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules an they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as crazy, we see genius because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Wake's pulling ideals from somewhere, we all do.

Alll any thinking or stinking thing know's is what it's programed with, kinda like this lap top on typing on.

Free thinking is the key to new ideals of any kind even boats. Only trouble is it can get you in trouble.

I did not mean to imply that he has even seen this, let alone copy it.
I only stated that it came to mind.

Now that I've revisited the specs, it seems like a cool and fun little 40Knts speedy craft.

No imply was taken. I often wonder if we think as a whole.

Wow they actually made a RIB look pretty cool! So it uses a jet drive? Strange because I don't see a nozzle out the back of the transom?
