i have an American turbine jet drive and need to kjknow how o ring seal fits on jet drive barrel? there does not seem to be a groove to accept o ring ? or does it matter when unit is installed in transom adapter that was supplied? there seems to be different intake location measurements that would affect o ring location. supplier info does not show.

You probably mean the O ring between the jet bowl and the housing.
There is no groove, but the housing has a collar to prevent the O ring from sliding inside the bowl. All American turbine models have the same construction.
