I looking for help in repowering my boat
The hull in a marksply 22 foot with a volvo 280t stern drive and this had a a280 engine in front
From some reseach i done the a280 engine is a 350 chev and is about 280hp
the engine is rusted and would newed another block to rebluid
So i wanting to fit a diesel engine in place of the petrol and needing help on sizing to use.
    i have found a qd32teti engine from a nissan that is 150hp @3600rpm and 333nm @2000rpm

That's about 245 ft/lb. The drive will handle the torque, but the gearing may be a bit high. However, since the power is somewhat less, you may be able to get away with a prop with a different pitch.
