Good job! A builder should be ready for these things..... to his credit I haven't heard of the need for many corrections on Ed's boats which is amazing considering the amount of them he has designed and updated over the years.

He was very good about this. I was a little worried that he may get affended. Anyway I can now go forward with the build. He sent me some pic's of a MT 23 so I could see how the bows should look. I'll post a couple.

I like the folding mechanism for DIY's.....The farrier 'buy it here" approach really doesn't work for me..... I like Ed, I've talked with him on the phone and found him to be a no nonsense guy. Work on him about talking to the guys at outrig.org so everyone can get the benefit of the experience and accompanying wisdom. Once you get past the prickles it is worth it to hear him say "Mickey Mouse" when talking about contraptions.....All his plans are a great value, the updated styling on the cats and tris is worth a look for those interested in cruising bang for the buck.
Keep up the good work! And don't be shy about letting him know if anything is out of whack, he is a busy guy.

That heated shop sure helps this time of year. And they said it would be a dry fall......Sounds fun, good to see progress.

    questions

    Nice looking work RJ.
What is the skin thickness, and about the expected total weight of the 26?
I am also jealous of your shop, it looks very comfortable. B

Two layers 3mm- about 1/4" w/ 2layers 6oz. glass. Using Areo-Marine resin, I really like this resin. I don't have my info here at the house, but if I remember correctly it weights about 2400#s on the trailer. Will be using Colligo Marine standing rigging. I'm making a huge effort to keep the weight down. I do love this shop.. Makes winter building wonderful.. Michael..

    All ply is Meranti Marine.....
