GPS collars are absolutely useless, unless coupled with a zapper, to get their attention too.

So right. To do all you a favour, I will keep the lights off for the moment. If you want to visit me on METS 2012 (Amsterdam, 13-15 November) just come to the smelly corner... :)

And if you want to make the front part suitable for my kids and me, install a pool. Something like this will suffice:

Agree. For about 9 months of the year the wildlife keep the grass down. In the summer it grows faster than the little sods can eat so when it starts getting to a fire hazard height, it gets slashed down. Usually only needs doing 2 or 3 times a year.

Better things to do than mow lawns. I shake my head in disbelief at one of my neighbours, who spends a lot of time with the watering system running, then even more time cutting the grass.

What did I do this weekend? Lit some fires to burn off under the trees and reduce the fire hazard for summer. Lot of fun and gives me a warm inner glow thinking of how it annoys the thoughtless greenies.....

This weekend I travelled part of the Withlacoochee River from Silver Lake upriver.

I use to fish the Withlacoochee regularly, when I lived in St. Pete.

It is handy for me to try the new boat on and not much travelled by me so far. I haven't seen much of it below Silver Lake. Upriver got quite challenging with the snags and all.

Spent most of the weekend looking for special offers on hand phones --quite fancied the imobile 203T twin sim and MP3 with touch screen . Never had a touch screen.

So went back Sun with some money and the promotion had expired and it was 12 dollar more so came home again with bottom lip out.

Any way they only had shocking pink or green.

Helped a friend deliver his 25' Macro 25 cruising cat back from Hastings to it's mooring in Warneet, Westernport Bay. Wind was dead on the nose and light so we motored back with the boats pod mounted outboard. Beautiful almost calm seastate with birds and seals playing around the boat.

Corley on sat arvo Port Phillip was so windy I had trouble rowing from my mooring to the dock.
South Chanel has the most seals in ours and its so much fun watching them playing, its like watching a relaxing movie.

Thats southeast australia, blowing in one bay, quiet wind around the corner.
I guess all the Gannets have left that artificial rock reef off Queenscliffe - what the heck was its name ?
    The snorkelling there was fabulous.

Popes Eye? It's a wonderful place to snorkel or dive. It was intended as a foundation for a fort originally but was never finished.

    Thats the one.

The deep water on the ocean side is amazing to snorkel in. It must go down 100 ft, with amazing fish, sometimes seals, lots of picturesque kelp.

The inside of the U is nice and shallow, and i have vivid memories of a snorkeller getting too close to the little 'jetty', and getting a load of gannet goo down his pipe.
