I am trying to find out where to get a set of working drawings or plans for the old 1950s /60s Woody Brown Hawaiian Beach Cats?

Can anyone help me out where to go?

    Mahalo, Mr. Tropic

    Dear Mr. Woods,

I have done so and will see if he can help, I also have looked at the you tube, fantastic. I grew up in Hawaii and sailed on several of his designs including the Mana Kai and Makani Kai, and others. Would like to build on here in the philippines for some fun sailing.

    Best regards, Mauimike

    Mr. Tropic,

I can't help you much with finding Woody's designs. I used to surf with Woody on Maui when he was in his 80's. I never met a finer more positive man than Woody. It's true he loved everyone, no one escaped his love. Once he was beat up pretty bad by a couple of thugs while he was hiking. He was beat up so bad he spent many days in the hospital. When I asked him how he felt about the to guys it was talk of foregiving.

I surfed one Christmas morning with Woody who was then in his upper 80's, his sons, grandsons and great grandsons. The only one not there was his young wife, I think she was in her late 20's.

And thanks Richard for the video, yep that was Woody.

    rclouise,

Thanks for the story, I never met Woody but did sail several of his designs as a charter captain in the 70s on Maui. It made me a multihull addict from then on and over all these years I have sailed many designs on different oceans but always remembered the wonderful days sailing his boats and surfing the channels between the Islands, what a thrill.

I wish I could have also met the man you describe, Mahalo, Mike
