What do you need help in - the concept, the engineering or the building ?

Perhaps you could provide a detailed list of requirements. with any photos of similar types of boats you may have come across.

Why would you wish to build a new boat and blow 1 -3 years when a used boat can be had at less than half price NOW!

To start with, you need to learn at least the basics of Naval Architecture. What level of competency do you have in math and physics?

I have been studying naval architecture and marine engineering for 3 years and I know some I guess, just need to know some specific information and I m looking for something that can help me to guide on this complex road . Actually I collected information for similar yachts and decided on the main dimensions. and stucked here because I dont know what to do next . Should I design the hull first and after that pre general settlement or visa versa ?

If you need specific and not general information, your question has to be specific too.

So you have the dimensions, though you haven't explained them here, with the performance needed - how fast, how far, carrying how much, for what price.

Creating a Statement of Requirements (SOR) is a good first step.

In my opinion, the fastest way forward is to study your most favorite current design, and see if you can see room for improvement. Can you design and build a faster, cheaper, roomier version ?

That will require understanding the equipment arrangements, hull performance, building methods etc

You should learn a lot, and that will be much easier than starting from nothing.

Loa=10 meters, B=3.45 meters, Draft=0.91, Displacement=5900 kg Fn=2.15, V=25 knot, BHP=550 HP, there they are . All I am asking what s the first step now ? Making a hull maxsurf now ?

Maxsurf is way down the road. How did you determine the power required? It looks really low for the speed. Planing vessels require about 1hp per 18 kg of displacement. That is a rough estimate, but close to real world requirements.

I found similar type of motoryachts. then made a list , tried to find it approximately. they are all around that BHP . Am I wrong ? if they requires 1hp per 18 kf of displacement ? My displacement is 5900 kg and 5900/18=328 HP , but mine is 550 Hp , I didnt get what you meant so ?

Is that loaded or empty displacement? It looks like an ultralight. A common type motoryacht of that size will have about double the horsepower and weight much more.
