    Hi

I have some tehnical questions regarding SUZUKI DF300 if anybody can help me.
Engine have original instaled fly by wire controls, but I dont have it,they stay on the sellers boat.
1.Is any posibility so start engine without them,I want to test engine before instaling on the boat and buy new electornic controls.
Do I need just electronic controls+wiring or also some ECU box betwen engine and controls.
I call local service about my problem but they have more troubles why i dont have controls, not to resolve my question.:?::(

2.I want to buy digital gauges with display, but original are very expensive,so i find that Faria made some also for Suzuki engine,do you have any experience with conectivity non original digital gauges.

If anybody can help me i will be very :p:p:p
    Thanks

    Suzuki Motor

You should be able to start the motor without the controls. I have a DT30 Suzuki. I'm assuming your motor has a rope starter and electric start. The shift lever must be in neutral and you can run the throttle by hand. It should have an electric and manual choke. If it only has an electric choke then you'll have to remove the cowl and choke it bye hand. The only problem you should have will be shutting it down as the control has the ignition switch that grounds out the ignition when shut off. You can kill it by idling it down and applying the choke. Make sure you have the motor either in a tank of water or have muffs and a hose connected. Running the motor dry will ruin the water pump and can damage the engine.

see if you can get a wire diagram of the engine electrical system, that should tell you if the controls are only on/off switches or not. I would guess you can "hot wire" it once you know what wires to connect the jumpers clips to. I would not advise trying it without studying the wire diagram, you could fry costly electrical ignition components if you ground the wrong contacts and try to start it. the engine manual may have a wire diagram.

    good luck

    Df300

Sorry about that I guess I miss read it as a DF30. I looked at a DF300 and I agree you definitely should have a wiring diagram or help from someone who is familiar with these newer computerized motors. Do you know what year this motor was made?
