My company specializes in the design of powerboats, specifically high speed planing hulls. There are several papers that will help you with resistance calculation... the aforementioned Savitsky paper (1964), but also the Series 62 and Series 65 papers. The latter build upon the earlier works of Savitsky. The series of books, Principles of Naval Architecture (specifically Volume 2), has an overview of all of these works.

But there are also basic design guidelines for LCG, hull shape interaction, and bottom loading to ensure proper dynamic stability and efficient transport. If you are still looking for this information send me a p-message and I will see what I have that's available to public domain that may guide you in this area.
