This piece of advice ranks right up there with 'never let your wife see all of your guns at once.'

Most of them can't tell one gun from another. But they do know how to count....

    Hoytedow,

Thanks for the comment. The boat is finished and delivered. You really cannot see the damage unless you open the back hatch and stick your head in - then you see the light shining thru some narrow seams that did not get fully closed with wood.

The boat is not the "best ever stripper" but that is mostly my level of final finish skills. The boat was Rob Mack's North Star biadarka. Not the best boat to start on.

Has the missus enquired about the missing flour sifter yet, PAR? Or is puree-o-foam sprayable?

I never touch the wife's blender. I've gotten into enough trouble just using butter knives for screwdrivers.... she doesn't seem to understand that otherwise, I'd have to walk all the way out to my pickup and dig around in my toolbox.

Just poured another run of footer & used up a pallet of slightly long in the tooth bag mix concrete.

    Note to self-
Next time I say to self "oh she'll be alright" don't proceed...

After two days of hoping the mix would set, I shoveled out 4500 lbs of mess and started over.

My dad did that when I was 14-spent several days with a wheelbarrow pulling about 8 tons of slop from what was to be the equipment shed and garage's floor.

And guess who wheelbarrowed it all there in the first place-yes,me. Didn't really talk to him for a couple months.

Idle speed is better on unexplored rivers.

It's okay to lick a butter knife, but not a steak knife . . .

Don't concentrate or focus so hard you fail to see the bigger picture... or get in a rush while doing it.

I made the mistake by letting my wife catch me with her hair dryer I used as a heat gun because I needed a second one on a job:eek:
Incident did not had a nice ending, and women just cannot understand a man has to do what he has to do:confused:
