    Hi!
Im looking for a software to measure and calculate areas (planimeter functions) with the use of mouse clicks or a drawing board conected to the computer (digitizer). So far I found one program called LandCalc http://www.landscaping.co.uk/Software/Software.htm

You can download a demo that does not give right calculations.

LandCalc is a bit expensive and i wondered if anybody know of a similar software thats cheaper?

I guess that you could use a digitiser and input into Autocad or Autocad LT and use the region properties function.

The size of the drawing might determine the cost of the tablet.

I too would be interested if there is such a thing as an electronic planimeter.

Im aware that you can do this in Autocad, but thats very expensive. In LandCalc you dont need a big digitizer since you can split up the area.
Im sure it exist some kind of shareware or open source program that does this. I will look further into it.
