Thank you tunnels, we will check that first ( experience is the mother of the science, and you have a lot of that.

adding keels and bigger rudders is skirting around the problem its like dropping a egg on the floor and trying to cover it up with news paper its still there just you cant see it broaching in a boat that size is serious stuff , like it could make the boat dig its nose in and the rest of the boat could rear up out of the water and have no drive at all . how can some one make a boat like that . obviously they not boat builders just engineers that think they are boat builders . the designer if there ever was one is a fruit cake and need kicking regularly . it sound very much like that particular boat has been scaled up from something smaller and it dosent work !!! .in the smaller craft if it has a minor problem is blown all to hell once its scaled up . In reality you better to find a good boat designer and pay him a few bucks and find what wrong and how it can be fixed . Its an aliminium boat so plate over the outside and be done with it what you should gain will far out weigh the extra weigth of materials involved . id sure as hell be looking at how fair the rest of the hull is as well . hills and hollows have a dramatic effect on performance and how a hull handles . Loading is another thing to take careful consideration . check where you centre of boyancy is as well , placement of fuel tanks and the size water tanks and the size check everything I got to go to bed !!:D
