A quick look at Mercury's site and around 26" props should do the trick.

    Thanks Don

by todays standards 200 hp inboard is classed as small these days and you have one step up from a putt putt boat . 300 hp upward and then you starting to talk . out boards have grasped the 350 hp and now theres one at 550 hp plus so wheres it all going to end !!

Yes you are right Tunnels. that monster from 7 marine is huge. These big outboards work out more eccomomical than several smaller ones. I read where 2 of the 550 hp was better than 3 of the 350hp on quite a large fishing boat.
These big motors are meant for pushing big heavy loads but they also end up on the back of something much smaller and get these high speeds. Personally i think 60 knots is too fast for the average family day boat.

    i have a small boat 14.6 with a 115 yamaha
!!Its goes like stink and i love the thrill bit i only go all out when i am by myself , when the water is flat calm and no wind if there is any wind i go with it not against it will pull 6400 on the tacho but cruises reall good at just over 3000. when i have others in the boatwont go above 4200 is quite fast enough but its what i wanted and its mine its my joy !!has hydualic steering as its had to have no slack in the system . i used to set up race boats and have 450mm of set back . trim is absolutly spot on one touch and it repsonds and stays where its set , prodictable !!!:D
