    IMP-ish powerboater

Thanks for more photos linxiao. A picture of the running surface or transom shot would be the money shots too.

What he's looking for are any similar 30' boats that do 70 mph with only twin 200 obs.

The 30ft boats I know of that have 200s are older and heavier and slower. Pull that boat on a scale and you would have an idea of how light it's built. Has to be real light hull to get 75 with 200s on a 30.
A gps speedo is the only way you'll really know for sure :)

Yes its what manufactures in the usa are doing already throwing out inboards and all the cumbersum junk and fitting outboards , 2 , 3, or 4 do the sums we have 350 off the shelf and theres even bigger motors in . Even out boarding boats almost twice that size .
I been beating my head against a brick wall talking about obese boats for long time !! Its simply a matter of using better materials and doing the job better and being weight weary all the way through the construction and also the power plants and the drives etc etc its got to be a whole package deal not just a half measure !!

linxiao what part of china you in ??
i am close to Dushu hu close to Suzhou ,Jiangsu,China !:p

Plus the boat maker has lesser warranty stuff to fool around with and they still get them at wholesale to mark up in the package.

I know of boat in my area with 3 300s on a boat no bigger than this...

IIRC 300s are about $22k each,so $66k for 900 hp.But what would it cost for a blown big block that can be tempermental and needs a rebuild fairly often.

I am just filling in time so to speak ! its been very disapointing watching the guys i workedwith and have never learned a thing in 2 years !! still doing what they were doing when i first arrived . I wanted to stay here and make this place my home for a couple more years but its not going to happen . i need to have a small group of people with me and teach and show simpler and much better easyer ways of glassing and making stronger lighter boats. Every boat this company has made is way over weight !! obese !!
i like very much the glasses that are availible here and have used then exstensivly throughout in the 90 footer lake boat we are part way throught making !! Never mind life goes on and i am looking forward to getting back to nz and going fishing in my own small boat .
Its just 14 foot with 115 vee 4 yamaha and goes quite fast !!!!. :D

How sweety life you describe.I don't know what's the reason the workers had never done well on the work.Maybe they don't love the boat, just a work.

Possibly the most dissapointing thing is there is not one person here the slightest bit interested in boats !!
Not one person owns a boat !!
of the owners of the company and managment no one is the sightest bit interested and it shows and has cost them dearly because of there complete ignorance !!!:(

Yes,they maybe never touch a boat until they have the work.
In the factory, maybe they have less pay,and if they get much more pay,I think they can do more staid.

Don't see any reason why it wouldnt do 60 knots unless the boat is very heavy, If the props are big enough and there is enough grunt to swing it. I'm not really a big fan of multiple outboards. They are fine where the load changes dramatically or the security of a second engine is required. but i'd rather see a bigger prop and more HP from a single OB.
200hp will take a fairly big prop and with 2 of them on the back of this boat the load on each engine should allow for full rpm's. Glad i dont have to pay for the fuel though.

    Thanks Don
