I have to agree, you can find both dealers and manufactures and some pricing on line. BTW, I can get an electric start 5 HP diesel for about $2k. A simple contact with a dealer of a product line you like, can yield a quoit pretty quickly. I get quotes daily on many things and this isn't any different.

I also agree in that this poster seem to want to "shop and save", without the bother of looking things up. Finding a high output diesel supplier will be problematic, but a few emails, some phone calls and I could have a quote in a few days from several sources, so I suspect he's using the "online shopping guide" as his method of extremely expensive equipment procurement. Most looking to spend this amount, for an item or two, at this level, would expect some degree of professionalism.

Simply put, you haven't a clue where to look, what to look for, what would be a reasonable package, what to avoid, etc., so you're not well equipped to make this search. I mean no offense, it's not your fault, most don't have any idea about these things, but for a machine of this complexity and cost, maybe you'd be best advised to find someone who knows what a Detroit Diesel 16V149TIB is, how much power it has, how much it might cost and where to find them, don't you think? Consider hiring someone as part of the procurement process, as it will be a small price to pay to get the engine package(s) you want, then hunting and pecking around the net.

ZF Marine in Italy would be the logical choice for you, not knowing what country your in and knowing there aren't any Detroit Diesel dealers in the middle east.

Nice of you to write PAR,but he's a waste of time...if he can't even figure out where to ask for a price for a friggin' engine- there is no way in hell he's even going to be able to get it into a boat-much less into the country he lives in.

It's like me posting on the NASA website-asking how much rocket fuel is,and how big of a tube do I need to send a rocket up.

He is trying to create an estimation formula.
A spreadsheet of quotes would be more useful; the abstraction into a formula is unnecessary and no advantage.

I know that...but is he doing this just for fun,or to buy engines and store them in his basement,or just maybe to get them into boats?

Just for fun I have a quote for a 2,200 HP V16 diesel on it's way. It took about 15 minutes to type up a request and send it off to my usual diesel supplier. He'll probably call tomorrow, hoping he's just nailed a 6 figure sales commission. I estimate the price to be in the $130K to $150K range, for this brand new turbo marine setup.

Plus delivery to Iran against any embargo. What does it weigh.

Delivery from US to Iran would be about the same as the engine.

You'de have to drop it off In Israel and road it down. Or ask Egypt nicely if you could use a crane on the Suez.

Prob better to road it from Germany.

No secret or sensitive information has been revealed during this post. ( only the bit about a crane in the Suez)

To be honest they will have many motors off the shelf in Dubai.

Finding a diesel, even a big one isn't hard, even to Iran. India would be my guess as a likely importer, then of course China or one of the former Soviet block countries.
