    Hello everyone,

I wander if any of you got the chance to get a glance at RS rules? I heard they are quite good and can provide a nice guideline for whoever is involve in design. Any feedback?

Otherwise, if someone knows if their rules are free (like the others IACS members) and where I can find them, it would be helpful as well.

    VM

P.S: sorry but I have no access to their website for some obscure reasons...

I have no idea where to find rules but as far as I know they have a software called "Ruslan" which checks your calculation according to their rules. If your design and structure pass the software check, it means that it will satisfy the rules.
I know that this is not exactly what you asked for but it might be helpful one day ))

The Rules are not for free and are not too good for anything excerpt icebreakers.

I would avoid using those rules for small boats... a lot of nonsense there. Currently they are working on considerable update of their stability section, for which we did a review.

They also do not have good rules for GRP vessels. However if you need a hydrofoil designed they are the only society I know have which gives detailed structural design requirements for the hydrofoils.
