    So would an un-stretched B28 ! :D

    Stoppit RR. You are making me cry. My B28 won 21 out of 24 races.
    I do miss it so. :(

    My Bucc 24 was competitive with the 8.5s in the light breeze but when fully powered up we suffered from the shorter floats. To be seriously competitive in the 8.5 class you would need to have all three hulls 8.5m long.

    If the Bucc 28 was down to min weight (900kg) and with max sail area it would probably win the odd race.

    Even the all Carbon F82R suffers from having shorter floats...
