Geez...I have one of these boats, and to be honest I just never knew it was a "Sidewinder",
    because,
all the emblem on the side says is "COBRA by CALIFORNIA FIBERGLASS"
    so,
I always thought it was from Ca ???? and a "Cobra" ??
    Now,
from research here and over at sidewinder.com...
I have been able to determine that mine is a 1970 "lopro" 16ft Sidewinder probably built in B.C. Canada.

Always thought it was kind of a unique hull, never seen another like it around these parts....and it goes like stink with a old 1250 Merc on it.

    Sidewinder Forums?????

Can anyone enlighten me as to where to find any forums on the Sidewinder boats? It seems there is a lot of reference to sidewinder-boats.com but that forum seems to no longer allow new people to register so of course I can't ask any questions or even view the pics posted there......

    Thanks ~ Rick

Hi! Do you still own the sidewinder? My dad owned the factory in Marham Ontario Canada... I would love to see a picture of your boat if you still have it. Do you know where it was built? Looking forward to hearing from you!

Afternoon.. I seen your responses to some other members..about your father owning the old factory.I’ve just picked up a 1970 low deck sidewinder jet..a bit of a project but worth saving. I’m interested in searching out more info on it...any leads/tips would be awesome..
    Thanks..see you at the docks
