Was a boat designer in 80's, he designed Swans and Grand Soleil, someone knows his history?
    Is still alive?
    Why does he stopped design?

I know the site but the Alain Jezequel designer of Swan and Grand Soleil was in a Regatta in Italy in mediterranean in 1968 so he was 73 years old at that time.
The Third generation of Alain Jezequel was born in 1955 and was 13 Year old in 1966. I presume the Alain Jezequel designer was someone different.

Frist of all thanks to care about Alain. I must say that he did not design Swans but it is one of his Grand Soleil who was nicknamed Swan because of her look on sea. Before designing for the yard DEL PARDO in Italy he designed a quite a great fleet of 1/4 tonners. Then he was called by DEL Pardo to start designing Grand Soleil. Unfornutely Alain has gone by the end of July 2012.

hello to every body, i'm new on this forum.
well i don't know if it it the right place for the first message, then if needs to be replaced, please.

it si just for tell to sailors and owners, end everybody don't met him or like to know anithing on this incredible architect, engineer and designer, i have to tell also that before, when he was younger, he wins a lot of regattas with his moth...and more,
so down there (if it is not against forum rules) a QR for smartphones woho send you on a page for his memory...and there i have plenty of details to share about boats he draw and built. so feel free to ask , because i think it is important, since the moment boats are still sailing, i have to support them until they need...

well, about the "swan tell's". the story seems that the Geand Soleil '39 was pretty looking like the Swan's Line, so then they stick the nickname "Spaghetti Swan"
    pretty cool!
