Depending on the type of cataclysm there may be no communication services or electricity to run them.

LOL, how cataclsmic will that have to be to take out the whole(or partial)universe too???? So hot to boil the seas and melt the cables on the beds of the seas?

I don't think atoms reacting will just stop either.

Panic is useless. While there is still hope subdue it and try to reason logically for a solution. When there is no hope and you know you are doomed panic is a waste of time.

I see in that weather report of your's the guy recons 35oC is 'brutal'. It's kind of mild, isn't it ;)

Die we all are going to - one time or another. Probably depends how close you know you get eh. Some mornings when I wake up I think ok well that was it, it was good while it lasted

I'm glad that you apply logic and reasoning instead of paranoia to your problem solving, as most people get wrapped up in the emotional words and the thought of something unknown and they do themselves more harm than good.

LOL. So when they are about to die they do themselves more harm than good.

Sounds like the guy on death row who gets an injection they swipe with a bit of alcohol so he doesn't get an infection.

lol or Braille on the drive-thru ATM machine. My point was that if the world was ending and the phenomina was so great, and all that happened was that the internet and power is off??

I could definitely live with that outcome.

Yep, you'd have no choice to live with that.

Seems Freds-not-dead's post counter is dead though. And it's not even the end yet.

Like they say, in the end everything will be ok. If it's not ok, then it's not the end yet ;)

Hehehe - all the disaster movies I have seen - started in or near USA. When the GPS dies (no satellites) and the Internet services (like boat design) die and we cannot get 'Aljaseria', 'RT' of 'CBS' via the Internet then we will know... - - and have some time to play (for those in the west of the dateline) as since we will be in tomorrow and are still alive we will be OK for a bit longer.... If you believe that I am happy...

I am staggered at the stupidity of the leaders - Who voted them in? - does that make the voter even more stupid?...

It seems you missed the point on the stuff about Indonesia... One of the poorest countries on earth and is donating US$1billion to help bail out the banks and governments in the west and add to the funds held by the IMF to help the failing states of Europe and USA... :p :p  :D :D

Because countries to the west of the date-line are ahead of GB by 10 hours and the America's by 20 hours -give-or-take, I promise to post on this thread any vaguely credible links to imminent doom... (only those links that have a "certain weird sense of humour appeal"... - - As to the humour in the situation - There is nothing like 'dieing laughing'... :D :D :D :D

    Hi fanie,
Post counter does not add the short conversational entries, although those with pictures of your boat build seem to add sometimes (6 thumbnails max for each post so the next post with more images may add to another post, but then if you do that then you deserve the credit of another post... :D

Fanie, what of your build? is that progressing or ???

    Hi Mas *sigh*

... long and sad story, but it's at a standstill on the moment. Mostly due to the crappy economy here. Tooling is mostly configured, it's all the other things that has to come in place. The whole place is full of parts and pieces though... but no space to work in :D

    Yet.

I wonder who figgered out what zombies looks like ?
