Do you know this boat design

Recently got this yacht rather cheaply because of wood rot it is now in my backyard and Ive started cutting wood rot our back to good wood.

When I bought it from previous owner he said it was a roberts 36 , but I dont think so , he obtained it from some one else with the intent to repair it as well but could not transport it to perth from qld as easily as he thought , but at any rate does any one regonise the boat .

the above is roberts 36 plan site , could not find drop keel plan , also when we picked it up there was a roberts 36 sitting nearby and the hull look very different but it was steel hull with full keel , the shape was just totally different

 

Bruce doesn't appear to offer the old wooden 36 any more, just the steel and 'glass versions. Two drafts where possible, 4' and 4' 9", neither had a centerboard or drop keel. There's also a broken sheer, raised deck version that makes the interior feel much larger than it is. The keel was full length, with a modestly cut back fore foot, the rudder was keel hung with a prop aperture at the end of the deadwood. A cutter or ketch rig was also offered.

The only other (older) 36' from Bruce is the Spray series. This is a fairly easy hull to recognize, as it has a huge transom and quite full lines though out. The keel is also full length, but not cut away at the fore foot. If the boat looks massive and has a traditional (old school) air about her, than she's a Spray 36.

Okay, I just looked at your photo and it's decidedly not a Roberts 36 or Spray. I don't know what it is, but it's clearly a racer with some questionable alterations I'll bet. That rudder can be especially efficient and what's up with the dainty cabin supports. Can you post better images?

some internal pics , sorry i will take more and post soon , this is of windows they are 18mm thick ply around the oval shape of window then another 12mm on outside cabin part so quite thick , im actully debating with myself to buy 6mm ply and put 3 sheets in to replace old ply , epoxying it in to get the bend , its slight bend but a piece of 18mm ply looks like a struggle to get a little bit of bend in it .

 

regarding alterations , one interesting thing is the keel , it has wings on it , solid lead , not a bulb

 

Looks quite beamy whatever it is...has that beluga-look...
