I have newbie question about jet engine... I'm looking for jet engine which will produce enough power to speed up 220-330lbs for around 35 m.p.h. I would like to use it for "surf" like are in jet-surf.com, powerski.com, aquanami.eu...
I search all the net but of course with no success. The closet was some engines used in RC models but they are 5.000$ and this is too much. Does anybody knows where I could buy this kind of engine?

RC is the way to go.

How about a water jet with electric drive?

jetsurf.com appear to have a 2-stroke reciprocating motor driving a waterjet, rather than a jet engine. Any motor can be adapted to run a waterjet...

electric won't work, where are you going to put the battery pack, takes a lot of electricity to push a human at 30 mph.

Yes I thought so, electric engine will be pain in the *** :) Actually it's not a problem where to put batteries because I can do my own customized size of batteries. Problem in this case will be weight. I start calculating what kind of brushless motor I need and I notice weight could be a problem. I start thinking what if I use some pocket engine from mini bike or form RC planes... of course water cooled. Engines from mini bikes are too big... It's quite hard to find engine with enough power and in small dimensions.
