    especially in your country,

from my experience, i'd say freedom is much easier abroad.
    or was at least...

since corporate globalisation is rampaging the world, many countries have fallen in the trap and changed their rules to give more freedom to corporation to destroy our environment and less to the human to live their life as they wish.

can you quote me saying i want to not register my boat? no

can you quote me asking questions ? for example about registration because i can't register in india ? yes all over.

so why the **** do you waste bandwidth ?

why do you play the smart guy without sharing any kind of real knowledge or experience?

you enjoy jumping on the sheep band wagon (to make me say things i never said so you can judge me and divert the real discussion) ? you feel a need to follow a herd in which you recognize unconsciously yourself ?

I'll teach you something: in fact, you are using, unknowingly in your case, common alinsky/disinfo technics meant to destroy a discussion that takes direction completely out of your league.

google it man, but will you have the brain to understand what this is really about ? go & surprise me

Now that wasn't a nice reply. Lubby made a post from his perspective, no need for the attack. Keep in mind he spent the time to reply at least... if we all stayed away from your thread....

Since nobody had a reference to a specialist, I have a second question:

Is it legitimate to flag in 2 different countries?

I need a US flag to charter in the States. It also helps chattering in the Bahamas. Elsewhere in the world, as Michael mentions, it is a burden. So, I'm thinking of flagging in 2 countries.

Do many of you do that? I know at least 1 person on this board that does.

This is a well executed tapestry and eloquent to boot.
Alinsky was an evil person who led our country's sheeple into darkness. Cast his followers out of office and you will have made great strides to restoring of your freedom. We are trying hard to do that here and I am very optimistic of the outcome.

    catbuilders,

i've put 2 links on page 1 or 2 about company doing offshore registrations in many countries

    http://www.ukincorp.co.uk/

    http://www.myyachtregistration.com/

    Fanie,

my only wish is that all those with no information nor experience to share would have stayed out of this thread !

which include that guy, frosty and another. I really don't give a **** about what they want me to do. i'm not a white sheep; and not a black one either.

I'm only interested in knowledge i haven't grasped yet, in experiences i haven't lived yet.

hoyte, i don't understand what you mean.

nevermind & nevertheless, Alinsky was a peace activist, however, imho, he was wrong all the way to make up those tactics for peace activism

Nowadays all politicians and media people are deeply trained to be master of those technics (among others like NLP)

First you must identify the specific region that you would like to work...then contact a specialist. The US is very difficult...completely shut off from the outside world with the Jones Act , Homeland Security and enforces intrusive, brutal regulations on foreign flag yachts in US waters. This is why you rarely see a foreign flag yacht cruising in the US. .

I see many Marshal Islands flags operating in the Med. . I believe this is because the Marshal Islands have special privileges in the US.

I know nothing of flags of convenience. Every boat that I have sailed for the past 40 years has carried the National flag of its owner and operated as a private yacht.

A typical first contact would be a well known charter, management company at a boat show. They face the flag issue frequently and will be able to advise a specialist.

What a nonsense! One really has to be up to ones ears to the paranoid US right wing ideology to label Saul D. Alinsky a Marxist.
What lives and minds has he ruined? He started organizing citizens in the poorest neighborhoods of Chicago; against crime, exploitive landlords and corrupt politicians. Back in the 90s I wrote my final thesis comparing community organizing in the US and Germany. I did my research in the slums of Chicago where the only existing form of infrastructure was some churches and the occasional community organization. What a country where one is branded a communist for advocating a publicly accessible health care and educational system regardless of the income of ones parents.
What this discussion has to do with boats is beyond me, but I would kindly ask you to keep your disgusting right wing propaganda in the open section or, better even, keep it contained!
    I'm out of here.
