Time to change the tread name to Franks ever moving diatribe - no comments on the 52's I see. O'well I guess I never really expected any honest comments from Frank - especially after a TP 52 killed under IRC in a distance race. On another news front yet another TP 52 has been ordered - seems like there is a chance to have 30 boats at Key West 2006 (now that's going to be FUN!)

    TP 52 Defender Actual Sailor

Ladies, Gentlemen, and the rest of us sailing Vermin I present the following for your further consideration:

    From SSSS's web site (
    http://ssssclub.com/officers.htm
    ):

    South Sound Sailing Society Officers

    The South Sound Sailing Society
    P.O. Box 1102 Olympia WA USA 98507-1102
    area code 360

    SSSS Board Members 2005-6
Commodore Dan Decker Contact information removed
    Vice-Commodore Dave Elliott
    Secretary Carl Applebaum
Treasurer Terry Watness (Note Not Frank)
    Member-at-Large Thera Black
    Race Chair Erik Dahl
    Cruise Chair Dwayne Young
    Past Commodore Sue Bishop

Please note that Frank is, in fact, not the Clubs secretary and is in fact lying again. I am pretty sure that these continued lies do once any for all prove that Frank is unwilling or incapable of distinguishing the hurt is is doing to the sport of sailing (and in fact is in violation of the TOS on this site as his has been on others).

For those who have read through this whole thread first let me say I am sorry. Secondly please verify everything posted by the user Migehtto before using any of the information he has presented here. Although he may seem well meaning he is in fact a serial liar who has posted not only untruthful but even dangerous information on this (and other sites).

His lies include but are not limited to subjects involving:
    The Transpac 52 Class
    Yacht Stability Calculations
    Sailing Anarchy
Water Ballast (Modern Theories and Applications)
The Racing Rules of Sailing 2000 to 2004 and 2005 to 2009
    General Principles of sailing
    Southern Sound Sailing Society
    IRC
    Roberts Rules of Order
    Jim Teeters
    PHRF
    Macgregor Yachts
    Farr Yacht Sales
    Farr Yacht Design
    Santa Cruise Yachts
    US Sailing
    IYRC
    International 14's
    Mini Transat Class
    505 International
    Frank Bethwaite\
    General principles of Physics
    and many others

In addition to this he has engaged in Libel, trademark violations, plagiarism and several bouts of severe silliness.

Frank still waiting on you apologies per earlier post.

PNW sailors know he's a bit off and his absolute inability to face reality. He's been famous for claiming that his boat is faster than the Melges 24. What is concerning is just how mean and bitter he is about people in the sailing world. Scathing remarks and unprovoked attacks towards the sportsmen and volunteers is not appropriate. My apologies to Farr, Teeters, and TrippGirl, they have borne the brunt of his anger for quite some time now. Why they haven't sued is beyond me.

His flagrent abuse of copyrighted materials should be severely dealt with.

The amount of ridicule and scorn he has generated in south sound area is amazing; he seems to feed off of the notoriety even if it’s for being an idiot.

Having been the host of a small local bulletin board that Frank started posting on and getting no little hate mail form some our members, I sought legal counsel showing the firm some the posts Mr. Magneto had typed and posted, the firm recommend that I shut the board down immediately, although I never totally shut it down, it took the banning of 4 ISP to keep him from posting, 2 were from the State of Washington Servers

Hey, arn't you a member of Tripp Gal's crew? Messing with elections is bad. Live and Let live. But thanks for the campaign posters:

Rewriting history oh friend of Sailing Anarchy? Let it go. But just for the record. Under Roberts Rules of Order a commitee reports to the board and it is unusual for the board to disclose who was on the commitee. Committe membership is knowable only by other board members. But you were outed. Outed by a PHRF Board Member.

SSSS Bulletin Board Report, 7 March 2005

The SSSS Board asked Commodore Susan Bishop to find some experienced sailors look at the situation with the SSSS Bulletin Board and propose suggestions, to the SSSS Board, on how to improve it.

“Volunteers” include George Hansen, Sean Trew, Eric Bishop, and Dave Knowlton.

Sean and Eric provided the task force with suggestions via email prior to the 5 March meeting.

The Volunteers, minus Eric who was in Colorado, met on 5 March 2005 and came to the following consensus:

The SSSS Bulletin Board is for the enjoyment, education and communication among SSSS Members.

SSSS Members and their family members may be allowed to participate if they agree to follow the guidelines listed below. Non-Members will not be allowed to participate in the Bulletin Board. The situation before was acerbated by nonmembers who the BB Administrator had little or no control over their behavior.

The SSSS Board should appoint three or more Bulletin Board moderators. The role of the moderator is to implement the immediate controls listed in Guideline #1 below, with the exception of suspending privileges and guided by guidelines #3 and #4. The moderators may work on an independent basis, and once a month provide a report to the SSSS board, if necessary, listing the names of Members who have violated the guidelines and continue to do so. The SSSS board, as opposed to one individual such as the BB Administrator, is the sole authority to suspend the violator’s privileges to the BB.

The Volunteers agreed with Sean’s assessment that whatever is stated as guidelines may be worthless in court, however it is beneficial for all to see the SSSS guidelines before using the Bulletin Board.

The Volunteers also agreed that allowing only SSSS Members and their families to use the Bulletin Board would result in a greater administrative span of control and reduce the disparaging remarks about SSSS and of individual members.

The role of the Moderator would be one of housekeeping using guidelines #3 and #4. Common sense, sound judgment, and an ability to work amicability with others are traits desired of a Moderator. Some members who could be excellent Moderators include: George Hansen, Eric Bishop, Kelly Coon, and Eric Egge. Calm, cool, non -confrontational, and the ability to work under pressure describe the above individuals. There are several other Members who would be excellent Moderators.

The reasoning for having the SSSS Board be the sole authority for suspending a Member’s privileges is to have more eyes looking at the alleged violation and also take the pressure off of one individual, previously the BB Administrator, to make such a decision.

    Guidelines.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Come on Sean, admit it. Your legals were not the instigators of shutting down the board were they? It was Tripp Gal or associate of Tripp Gal. When the wind of change blows it blows the status quo :) Or is it The Status Quo Blows registered Sailing Anarchy.

Our Club’s electronic BB had to be shut down in February. We had picked up a group of posters who had brought the conversation down to grade school level. This destroyed its value for most of our Members and drove them off. So we shut it down and formed a committee to look into the problem.

Sean - your commitee recognized that the problem was not with me but with non members, IE Tripp Gal, Bubba, Crank Boy, I suppose - anyway The usual suspects. Regarding DSHS computers - as far as I know non have ever been restricted from the SSSS board. What are you talking about? Are you really Sean?

Frank, you are truly ill. The last several posts show first hand knowledge of your lies, and you ignore them and come up with more conspiracy theories. You're not fooling anyone.

Good one I like it. When you run for office, any office you get this Bravo Sierra. I prefer the Bravo Sierra meter to the BS meter. Perhaps the artist can rework his gif. Anyway now I have assman claiming to be me on Sailing Anarchy. You have to check with me directly mighetto@eskimo.com to know which theories are really mine.

Theory - TP52s are ships for fools. They represent the last of a long line of foolish designs involving an experimental period starting with the 12 meters and the Americas Cup and designers who while good racers were not trained to design and ending with visous attachs on MacGregor Yachts, owners of MacGregor Yachts, former owners of MacGregor Yachts and all who would dare to disagree with the notion that TP52s are the "pinicle" of yacht design, or that foils should be retracted without penulty during PHRF racing.

Agree or Disagree - but Vote US Sailing and Vote SSSS.

    Frank,
What I completely don't understand, Is why you have to always blame everything that happens to you on Tripp_Gal? Other than find an what is a very funny website and suggesting that people check it out, She has done nothing to you. Frank, you don't know her. She is a very nice and caring person and you would have found this out if you had taken the time to be civil. Instead you cooked up this grand conspiricy about her. Ask any of her crew, old or new and they will all say the same thing. I think you need to look closer at your own actions and leave her out of it. Just listen to Pacific Fog, he has no connection with her and he just posted why the board was closed down. Talk to Steve W, He has met Her and has no reason what so ever to lie to you, in fact, I don't believe it's in his nature to lie. He will tell you the same thing that I am saying here. Just forget about Tripp_Gal, Sail your boat, and enjoy it. You and the sailing world will be much much happier.

Defender, I stand by everything posted in this thread but am still open to the possibility of salvaging TP52s for IRC. Three TP52s (one of them the former esmarelda) are looking into foil changes. This is the kind of thing that would be necessary to make them better. Consider instead of canting foils, the notion of water ballast and smaller bulbs. We just do not need any more of these ships of fools and we need recognition of the superior designs which are possible, such as those coming from MacGregor Yachts.

I still am unable to find out about Barking Dog III - did the Mac65 start the Transpac? Looks like all 5 TP52s did. Five, - it sould have been a dozen. I know, I know, they are all in the Med. Keep them. :)

    more Frank Lies

Well frank my board is alive and well and SSSS still does not have one up yet...
And you’re some what right I did ask the club to break there link to the board...

I also recommended that the club not have a board.

As for Trip Gal you’re ******* full of **** and don't know what your talking about... It was 100% legal advice that drove my decision to not be associated with the SSSS web page and You!

Thanks Scott, I continue to try. Thanks for accepting the SSSS B-Fleet Captain Gig. I only had one enemy when I took the Secretary post and she was Tripp Gal. Every problem has been connected to her in some way. It isn't me that keeps bringing it up. PHRF-NW really would be better of if she resigned as a rater. She cares only for big boat racing.

Talk to Steve W, He has met Her and has no reason what so ever to lie to you, in fact, I don't believe it's in his nature to lie

Steve is pureblood PHRF. His administration follows the rule of what is best for PHRF-NW and if that is good for SSSS great. If not, so what. Steve is not only not a Member of SSSS but he is not a voting member of the SSSS board and yet he pretends to be all the time. I hope he can see his way to support IRC. Steve is a life member of SSSS but this is an honory position. Life members can discuss but not make motions. He is an ex-oficio Board Member of PHRF as you were but unlike you, he would not become a member. He simply will not be bound by our Bylaws. Interesting thing about Steve is that he has concluded that PHRF racing isn't competitive like folks at CYC Seattle have. This is why he races Stars. I believe you purchased your S2 7.9 boat from him. We all love Steve. But he comes from a place outside of The Society. We should not forget that. He is not bound as a steward of our Bylaws or our Assets, like the BB, as you and I are. Steve, has told me many times that he did not wish for you to be sailing with Tripp Gal. But that is between you and he. He may tell you otherwise. Tripp Gal is a PHRF rater after all. I did meet her, a week or so ago. We shook hands. In time I intend to turn her into a friend.

Steve also is not a US Sailing supporter. US Sailing really is making the effort to improve the state of afairs in sailing and that meant abandoning the TP52s by spinning off ORC and supporting IRC

    sad we hit Oh-My-God
sadder still there was no protest but then the unwriten rule
you do not win protests against boats with a PHRF board member aboard :)

Damn we need IRC. Hey, how about joining US Sailing?
